P2 - Silverstone Grand Prix

Silverstone GP Recap: A Weekend of Mixed Emotions

Silverstone GP brought a weekend of mixed emotions for the team in the 750MC Club Enduro Championship. As arguably the strongest circuit for a TCR car on any mixed grid, expectations were high, and with a 2:17.8 lap on track-day tyres, there was no question about their pace.

Despite that performance, finishing P2 in a 40-car grid, just two seconds off the win, left a sense of frustration rather than celebration. A 20-second success penalty from the previous round at Croft extended their pit stop, while the winning car, entered as a one-off, wasn’t subject to the same penalty. That, combined with its straight-line speed advantage, rivalled only by a BMW M4 GT4, made the result more puzzling than satisfying.

Even so, the 2025 season is already shaping up to be far more competitive and evenly matched than last year. Next up is Anglesey. Although it will be the driver's first time racing there, it's a circuit they know well, and they’re eager to finally put that knowledge to the test on track.

Croft Circuit Track

Strong Start at Croft in 750MC Club Enduro Opener

The team kicked off the first round of the 750MC Club Enduro Championship at Croft with an unexpected but hard-fought P2 finish. It came at what is arguably their least suitable circuit and with no prior testing ahead of the weekend.

It was the driver's first time racing a saloon or GT car at Croft, outside of previous experience in Caterhams. Despite the challenge, they quickly found pace. A special mention goes to teammate Chris, who delivered an impressive 1:28.4 in qualifying — a timely reminder that staying sharp is essential when the intra-team competition is this strong.

The car, expertly run by Jabbasport and led by Luke Schlewitz, performed brilliantly. As arguably the top VAG TCR specialists in the UK outside the big-budget official series, the team pulled everything together with speed and precision, even if the setup felt a little loose. All in all, it was a strong and encouraging start to the season.
